interesting content

cyclingsoup has been linking me a lot, so i better come up with some content that might interest that set; the cycling set, that is. lets see...

rode for 3.5 hrs yesterday. man, i was tired. took me almost an hour and a half to get my legs going. when i finally found my legs, i felt pretty good. tired but good. i guess that's the point. you're SUPPOSED to be tired. but not too tired. therein lies the trickiness. of course, i go by heart rate (i'm supposed to have a damned power tap coming, but you know how it is with sponsors) and percieved exertion. and i coach myself. so who knows how tired is tired enough and how much is too tired. i go out and train hard. but not too hard. a good solid tempo.

got home just before the rain started. ah yeah! it rains in seattle! todd herriott was craaaacked wide open last monday. sounded like it was about as bad as it gets in seattle. glad i didn't go out. but our ride on tuesday was awesome. totally awesome. sunny and warm. today i went to look how it was and saw that it was 40° and threatening to rain (actually wunderground.com said it was raining) so i put it up on trainer and banged out an hour watching "trailer park boys". funny shit from canada. i think bubbles looks a lot like RC2K. check it out.

broke down today and bought some zoka's coffee retail to get me through the day. yeah. tough times.

came across this old shot from the ecology center classic in montana. this is 2004, i think. takin' third place. we really kicked ass at that race. 1st and 2nd on gc, won all but 1 stage (when pinché tomas couldn't deliver), and had two guys on the podium on most stages. ah yeah (i'm the guy on the right)!
